Charity Begins at Home Campaign
Greetings Brother Knights and Community Members,
This year has been unlike any others. Our council, like many other organizations, has been unable to continue with our normal fundraising initiatives. Our breakfasts, our largest source of funds, have been cancelled since last February. Each year, we raise over $10,000, which is used to help support a multitude of deserving Catholic organizations and causes including:
- St. Joseph’s Elementary School
- Immaculata Regional High School
- St. Charles Garnier Parish
- Kelowna Right to Life Society
- Bursaries for graduating high school students
- Ozamam Recovery House
While our fundraising may be suspended, the need of these organizations is greater than ever.
Giving is nothing new to the Knights of Columbus – it’s what we are about. Most of us give generously to many charitable organizations. This year, we are asking our council members, their families, and their friends to consider giving at home. Our own St. Charles Garnier Columbus Charity Society is a registered charity that can be used to turn your generosity into support for our Council’s work.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 so that we may continue with our work. Your donation will go a long way towards this goal. If every member of our council contributes just $50, it will raise over $6,000. If those members who can afford it give more, we will reach our goal. You can donate using the form below. All donations will receive a tax receipt. Until this pandemic is over, your generosity is the lifeline we need.
God Bless,
Knights of Columbus Council 9845
